An ugly girl undergoes plastic surgery and becomes beautiful. She then takes revenge on all the people who mistreated her when she was ugly. After she crossed the border to the South alone during Korean War, Seon-Hee voluntarily takes a part in a service for an orphanage. She faces various difficulties while she takes care of orphans. However she endures all the hardships with belief and home for bringing up orphans. Two troublemakers Jae and Kwang become college students thanks to her efforts. As Kwang loses his eyesight during students activities against the government in 1960, Seon-Hee gives him one of her eyes. When Seon-Hee goes to prison instead of her adopted daughter Suk who incidentally committed a crime, the orphans who grew up as good civilians appeal to the court for her innocence. In the end Seon-Hee comes back to them and dies. Strange things have been happening to Valentina, a young and beautiful professional photographer, ever since she made the acquaintance of Baba Yaga, a mysterious older woman who gave her a lift home late one night. For one thing, Valentina has been having weird, kinky nightmares. For another, one of Valentina's cameras seems to have acquired a deadly curse. And then there was that visit to Baba Yaga's house, where Valentina discovered bizarre relics, including a dominatrix doll, and a bottomless pit in the living room. In each city, she has a man: Edward, older and wealthy; Johnny, a beach bum with gambling debts; and, Davey, a rock musician on the cusp of success. Tara is a free spirit, faithful to each man in her own way, and so stunning that she dresses in a wig and ill-fitting uniform while she's working so men won't harass her constantly.
