The vampires are Xavier Gains, sister Daniella Gains and wild card cousin, Barry Styles. The story revolves around these characters and the humans they are attracted to. As for Xavier, his love for a woman, Marisa Childs, led him to kidnap her from her husband, brainwash her and eventually initiate her into the fold. Yet through all this Marisa would not let him kill her husband, Douglas Childs as he is doing his best to bring his wife back. Not only is Douglas' wife trying to keep him alive, so is Daniella who is infatuated with Douglas.
